The Sound Barrier iLX10DSUB is a compact active subwoofer designed to add tight, controlled low-frequency reinforcement to portable PA systems, small venues, houses of worship, corporate presentations, and fixed installations where space and portability matter. Its 10-inch format is an efficient choice for systems that need meaningful bass extension without the footprint of a larger subwoofer.

An efficient Class-D amplifier delivers 1200W peak to the 10-inch low-frequency driver with a 2.5-inch voice coil. The iLX10DSUB provides a frequency response of 40Hz–150Hz and a maximum SPL of 125dB, giving full-range loudspeakers the low-frequency support they need for music playback, speech reinforcement, and compact live-sound systems.

Simple rear-panel controls make system integration straightforward. Select an 80, 100, 120, or 150Hz crossover point to match the subwoofer to the connected top cabinets, use the 0°/180° phase switch to improve low-frequency alignment, and choose full-range or high-pass-filtered outputs for the connected loudspeakers. A Ground Lift switch helps reduce unwanted noise when required.

Stereo left and right XLR inputs and outputs, plus a dedicated mix output, support flexible signal routing. The rugged MDF enclosure features a textured finish, a corrosion-resistant steel grille, recessed side handle, pole-mount socket, and M8 rigging points. Locking PowerCON-type AC input and link output connections help provide secure power distribution for portable and installed systems.

Class-D Subwoofer Power

The ECL118S uses a dedicated Class-D amplifier to deliver 600W RMS and 2400W peak output to its 18-inch low-frequency driver. A switch-mode power supply supports efficient power conversion, while the integrated amplifier allows direct connection to a line-level audio source without an external subwoofer amplifier.

Flexible Connections & System Control

Two balanced XLR outputs make it easy to connect powered full-range loudspeakers or external amplifiers. CROSSOVER mode provides a high-pass-filtered signal for satellite loudspeakers, while LINK mode passes the incoming signal through without output filtering. The crossover selector helps match the subwoofer to your system, while the 0°/180° polarity switch helps improve bass integration with full-range loudspeakers. A dedicated level control lets you balance the subwoofer output with the rest of your setup.
