2-Channel Analog Power Amplifier, 600W @ 4Ω
he Sound Barrier PCS1100 is a professional two-channel analog power amplifier designed to deliver reliable performance for permanent installations, portable PA systems, houses of worship, cinemas, and live sound applications. Its compact 2U rackmount chassis combines proven Class H amplification with flexible operating modes and the rugged construction required for demanding day-to-day use.
The PCS1100 delivers 480W per channel at 2Ω, 300W per channel at 4Ω, and 205W per channel at 8Ω. For applications requiring additional output from a single channel, Bridge mode provides up to 900W at 4Ω or 560W at 8Ω. A damping factor greater than 400:1 supports precise loudspeaker control, while selectable 0.77V, 1.0V, and 1.44V input sensitivity settings simplify integration with a wide range of mixers, processors, and system controllers.
Balanced XLR and 1/4-inch TRS inputs are provided for each channel, with NL4 speaker connectors and binding posts for flexible loudspeaker connection. Stereo, Parallel, and Bridge operating modes allow the amplifier to adapt to different system configurations. Independent front-panel level controls, clear status indicators, variable-speed cooling fan, and extensive protection circuitry help maintain dependable operation in both installed and portable systems
The PCS series' proven Class H analog architecture dynamically shifts between multiple power-supply rails, supplying additional voltage and current when the music demands it. This provides the headroom needed to reproduce sudden peaks with speed, impact, and control while improving efficiency and reducing unnecessary heat. The result is powerful low-frequency response, clear transients, and the full, natural sound that has made the PCS Series a trusted choice among audio professionals for more than two decades.
