Overview

The Sound Barrier PCS4000 is a high-output, two-channel Class H power amplifier for permanent installations, cinema systems, and touring sound. It delivers 1,700W per channel at 4Ω and supports stable operation down to 2Ω per channel.

Stereo, Parallel, and Bridge modes support different system configurations. A rear-panel Compressor switch engages or bypasses the built-in compressor. When engaged, it helps manage signal peaks and operates only when Input Sensitivity is set to 1.0V.

Balanced inputs, selectable input sensitivity, and front-panel channel level controls support system integration and operation. Internal heatsinks and dual variable-speed fans provide cooling, while protection circuits address short circuits, mismatched loads, power supply overload, excessive temperature, subsonic and ultrasonic signals, and DC transients.
