Overview

The Sound Barrier DA15.2 is a high-power two-channel Class-D amplifier engineered for professional audio systems requiring exceptional output from a compact rack space. Delivering 2 × 7500W at 4Ω and remaining stable down to 2Ω per channel, it is ideal for powering large-format subwoofers, high-output full-range loudspeakers, and demanding speaker systems used in touring productions, nightclubs, festivals, live venues, houses of worship, and large-scale installations.

Its compact 1U chassis supports stereo, mono, and bridge operation, with bridged output reaching up to 1 × 18,000W at 4Ω. Selectable gain and corresponding input-sensitivity settings allow the amplifier to integrate easily with professional DSP processors, mixing consoles, and loudspeaker-management systems. A universal switch-mode power supply with active Power Factor Correction provides efficient, stable operation across varying AC power conditions.

Front-to-rear airflow with temperature-controlled fans helps maintain reliable performance during extended high-output operation. Comprehensive protection circuitry safeguards the amplifier and connected loudspeakers against undervoltage, DC, over-temperature, overload, and short-circuit conditions.

The DA Series features a universal switch-mode power supply designed to operate from 100–240 VAC ±10%, 50/60Hz, allowing reliable use across a wide range of global power systems. Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) optimizes current draw, improves power efficiency, and helps maintain consistent amplifier performance under demanding operating conditions.
